Haughton's strategy was to record local artists who had a wealth of talent but little experience and to distribute the cds and cassettes worldwide. He began recording local rap, R&B, and reggae artists from Sarasota and Manatee counties, as well as working on his own albums. He created the music to back the rap and reggae artists and contributed his own songs for R&B singers to record. All recording, mixing and mastering was also performed by him. Soon a roots reggae artist Willo signed with Marston also, followed by the vocal ensemble A Tempo who specialize in Big Band, Broadway songs, jazz and classical music.

In the spring of 1997, Marston released rap albums by Realizm and 1 SEC and an R&B single by Cedric Green. These were promoted locally by a major show at the Sarasota Opera House, featuring these and other local artists, called Suncoast Explosion 97.   Releases of Reggae albums followed in late spring showcased in the reggae show "The Truth Concert". The show was highlighted by Bob Marley's mother and younger brother, Jessie, who joined Stamma Haughton to bring down the house. Also was present was Woody Harrelson the movie star.

New albums of dance music Stamma Haughton, and R&B by Cedric Green, Rap by Nysha and G, reggae dancehall music by Live Wire Crew, and roots reggae by Willo and Stamma Haughton are released.  US radio play has begun by major radio stations in Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles, Japan and Europe. The Netherlands and West German station, Reggae Vibes have been playing all the reggae albums and one of the songs on Reggae Dancehall reached number 1.  Radio stations in Spain, Estonia and all over Europe are also playing Marston's albums.
